Did you know you can get married at Jazz Fest? It’s the gospel truth! Turns out, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival has been hosting weddings in the Gospel Tent for decades. (Who knew?) One wedding usually takes place every festival weekend during set 10-minute breaks between acts.

While you’re responsible for bringing the marriage license, Jazz Fest will provide an officiant (or you can bring your own). Jazz Fest doesn’t charge a fee for this service, but keep in mind: weddings also don’t come with festival tickets, dressing room access or special guest seating. Each couple is allowed, however, to bring a witness backstage and onstage with them for the ceremony, and they often provide musicians onstage for accompaniment.

Requests for Jazz Fest weddings or vow renewals usually start the fall before the spring festival, and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Learn more at 504.410.4100.
