Let Old Man River Give You Away

America’s romance with the steamboat began the day the first steamboat, the New Orleans, began its historic journey down the Mississippi River in 1811. Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett Butler honeymooned on a steamboat headed to New Orleans after the Civil War. Today the fascination with these floating wedding cakes, as they were called back then, continues with weddings on the Riverboat City of New Orleans.

Over the years, hundreds of couples have said their  “I dos” on Old Man River. Not only do you get spectacular New Orleans cuisine, live jazz and a venue with constantly changing views, but your guests get a trip to New Orleans, the Paris of America. The captain of the Riverboat City of New Orleans can officiate, and the company even has a wedding consultant who can help with entertainment, transportation, photography, flowers, and your cake.

Make your wedding one for the history books. For more information, visit their official website or write  weddings@neworleanssteamboat.com.
