The Rooftop on Basin features stunning views of the French Quarter. With food from Messina's Catering & Events (one of our favorite caterers), this venue should be on your must-check out list.
Across town, The Observation Deck at the art deco Lakefront Airport, also featuring catering from Messina's, offers views of the runway and Lake Pontchartrain. From mini quiches to huge seafood displays, the food at both locations is as good as it gets.
The Riverview Room, also in the French Quarter, encompasses the entire fourth floor of Jax Brewery. Two covered and two open terraces offer panoramic views of the Mississippi River, French Quarter, and Central Business District. The food here is also fantastic.
Another rooftop that deserves a shout out is the one at Mambo’s on Bourbon Street, always a great place for celebration. What could be better than a dozen or so of your loved ones and a dozen or so chargrilled oysters? That’s what we call heaven on the half shell.
