Romance has been associated with Italian cuisine since, well, even before that famous "spaghetti kiss" in Lady and the Tramp. Brothers Jack and Phil Rizzuto of Rizzuto Management Group (former owners of Amici and Creole Carre) have reignited Lakeview's passion for authentic Italian-Creole cuisine with the opening of Rizzuto's Ristorante & Chop House in what was Tony Angello's Ristorante. With a magnificent menu (some things old and some things new), a bright new décor and your choice of large, private dining rooms, it's a romantic setting for your rehearsal dinner or reception.
Woo your guests with dishes from Chef Jason Caronna whose repertoire includes chicken marsala, veal piccata, braciole, and chicken scarpariello. The menu also includes a tomahawk pork chop and steaks with blue cheese, béarnaise or a chunky, garlicky tomato sauce called ammoglio. Did your parents date at Tony Angello's? If so they'll enjoy the Brisket and Tomato Salad, Crab Gravy, Marinated Mushrooms, and the breaded, stacked Eggplant Valentina (a version of Eggplant Tina).
Rizzuto's can accommodate groups up to 200. There are three dining rooms, named for the Krewe of Pygmalion, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. At the end of the marble bar, is a cigar counter for guests who'd like to celebrate your nuptials with a smoke out on the porch.
